Drawing on her vast amount of experience, Jenny Thornton of jattconsulting offers
the following broad range of services
- Above the line advertising. Jenny has a considerable amount of experience in this
area. As with all marketing, she believes that the brief is all important. If you
don’t know what you want or if you write the wrong brief, you will not get what you
expect. Whilst working as Marketing Manager of Centra, Jenny was responsible for
the development of the “For the way we live today” campaign. Made to reflect changing
lifestyles, this campaign has withstood the testament of time and has truly transformed
the brand.
- Below the line promotions. Once again Jenny has huge experience in developing below
the line campaigns. This was particularly relevant in Tayto as the target audience
of kids was perfect for this style of marketing. The competition prizes were varied
as some got to meet and greet Boyzone backstage at the Point, others won a gold bar
worth £15,000 and other lucky winners won a playstation for everyone in their class
- PR and Sponsorship. Once again Jenny has broad experience in the area of sponsorships
and PR. Whilst in Centra, Jenny developed a road safety campaign targeted at young
children in primary schools. The children were asked to design a DVD highlighting
road safety issues in their school and the four winners were screened in a premier
in the IFI in Dublin. This sponsorship won two PR awards.
- Brand Strategy and identity. Jenny was given the brief to develop a new brand strategy
for the Buy & Sell brand and in doing so highlighted that what made this brand unique
was the fact that the buyer and seller shook hands on the deal. This made the transaction
more personal than that of EBay or Amazon and Jenny’s team came up with the slogan
“Shake on it”
- NPD. Throughout her career, Jenny has been involved in several successful new product
launches such as Yoplait soft frozen yogurt, Tayto LFCs (Low Fat Crisps), Tayto Ripples
and Centra Chef works. For all of these products she has worked with the team to
develop them from concept stage right through to the marketing and selling of these
products.
- Market research and customer segmentation. Jenny has vast experience in customer
research and segmentation. Included in her research experience is quantitative and
qualitative experience and whilst in EBS Jenny led the team called “customer segmentation”
which used both types of research.
- Life Process – encompassing all of the above skills, Jenny developed the Life Process,
a process that develops the brand from its existing status into its aspired status.
